Check it out at the bottom of the page:

I'm now a chapter coordinator for Project Linus!!! I'm so excited! I've always wanted to make blankets for PL, but there was never a chapter near me, so my friend Noel and I have started our own chapter here locally. I've got a few blankets crocheted and am working on some quilts.

Guess Who??!!!

I'm so sorry that I haven't blogged in over a year!! I have no excuse, but I hope to be better this year! I also didn't keep track of my charity work, but I'm pretty sure that I made my goal. But since I don't have proof, you will just have to take my word for it.

I have had several people ask for the pattern for the ripple bereavement gown. I tried to find the original pattern on the internet, but it is gone. I have a paper copy and would happily snail mail you a copy if you let me know. It is a precious and easy gown. The ribbons coming down near the armholes I added since I wasn't very crazy about the holes that were there from making the ripples. Did that make any sense?

I put all of my almost finished projects on the coffee table till they drive me crazy, then I finish weaving in the ends, and adding ribbons/charms, etc. So in the pile right now is about 5 bereavement gowns, 4 bereavement buntings and I am working on a teenage sized blanket for Project Linus.

I am feeling the quilting itch coming on. I am just learning how to quilt, and will probably just be a beginner quilter for the rest of my life, but that's what I'm comfortable doing, so it's OK with me. When I clear off the coffee table, I will bring out the sewing machine. Too bad that rascally work keeps getting in the way of my crafty productivity!!!

Well, hopefully it won't be a year till you'll hear from me again!!

Love to you all!

Here is a picture of my son and I right before he leaves to go back to college. I probably won't see him again till Thanksgiving. Unless his plans change and he comes home for the summer, but that's not likely.

He is such a good boy, and I am so thankful for him.

Here are some items that I made to send to Seton Medical Center in Round Rock, TX for Heavenly Angels in Need.

That puts my year to date total at 11/50.

WooHoo!! Here are my first 4 donations of 2009!! These little gowns are going to Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, GA. We had a special request for tiny gowns through Heavenly Angels in Need. So far I am 4/50 for my 2009 donations.

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish everyone a most prosperous and healthy new year.

Let's see what 2009 has in store for us!

My son is coming home from college for a short visit in a few days. I can't wait! I haven't seen him since August. He will only be here two short weeks. He wants home cooked food! That I can do for him.

Since tomorrow is the first, I will officially start on my 50 items for charity. I can't decide if I will be crocheting or sewing. Hmmm, time will tell...

Have a safe new year!

Love,
Allyson

Merry Christmas and 2009 Resolution

Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope that you are enjoying it with family and friends today.

I'm making my 2009 resolutions and here's the 1st one. I will make 50 items for charity. I'm hoping to make much more, but I have to have a goal to work towards. So 50 it is!!!

I have gotten the sewing machine out and am making little preemie quilts. I've got three and a half made. They go pretty quickly and easily.

I think that I've got the posting down for this blogging, so now I have to figure out how to post pictures.

Gotta get back to the stove and continue cooking. Again, Merry Christmas!!
